Who is a Nomad?

A person who does not stay long in the same place or as some may say a wanderer, traveller, gypsy, drifter, vagabond or simply a bird of passage? There is no one word that best describes who a Nomad is. It is someone who is all of these words and none of them. Nomads originally were people who belonged to a group of people who moved from place to place in order to find food and water for themselves or their animals. There are people who still do that but the context in which we use this word these days is travelling. We are ‘urban nomads’ who roam from place to place in search of ourselves or peace or happiness. The reasons might be different but we are all looking to find something.

You could say I am a bit of a nomad who is in love with distant and uncharted places. Love that is strong enough to build my life around it and also a collection of outfits that induced the nomadic feeling. Now what makes these clothes a part of this collection is to do with the earthy colors, comforting silhouettes and a very unique and distinctive flair. Nomads often have to travel light with little to no baggage with them. The result is that they end up wearing multiple layers of clothing that will be able to suit them in different environmental circumstances. These layered looks, combined with a variety of eccentric jewelry pieces, creates a visually stunning overall appearance. That is what I am trying to bring out from this collection.
